Because of its geographical position and extensive infrastructure the Netherlands offers many advantages as gas exchange location (gas roundabout) for Europe. The country’s pipeline network, links with neighbors and facilities for the import and processing of liquid natural gas (LNG) are all excellent. There are also good possibilities for gas storage. Gas from the Groningen field and small fields will here play in important role over coming decades.
